Donations
Support Our Collections and Programs
Object Donations: We enthusiastically encourage donations of objects to our collections. We're asking you to help us make our collections more complete. Valuable historic materials may be those personal and family objects passed down to you or pieces you have collected or used. If you have such items, please consider donating them to The Goldstein and becoming a partner in preserving the history of art in everyday life. For more information about making a donation to one of our collection areas, or to set up an appointment, please contact our Assistant Curator, Jean McElvain by email or by phone at 612-625-2737.
Monetary and In-Kind Donations: Monetary gifts are vital to The Goldstein's future as a national leader. Your gifts enable us to attain excellence in our exhibitions and programming, enhance the education of undergraduate and graduate students, and assist the work of independent scholars. To make a tax-deductible donation please send a check payable to the University of Minnesota to the Goldstein. In-kind gifts may range from supplies and equipment to expertise, such as appraisals.
If you would like to discuss plans for monetary or in-kind gifts please contact our director, Lin Nelson-Mayson at 612-624-3292. Or, you can go directly to the University of Minnesota Foundation.
