The box problem was a workshop for BAD students taught by Todd Rhoades from Cermak Rhoades Architects. The material for the base of the box is walnut while the top of the box is a combination of walnut, pine, and oak. The box was assembled by using dado cuts and dove tail joints. All of the dove tails were chiseled out by hand. The box was designed as more of a self-expression than just storage. After the box was completed, I had developed a much deeper appreciation for the craft of wood working.
