Roots of the Future: College of Design Senior Show

This piece is one of four in a line, which I designed and created for my senior line and fashion show, “Abandon Your Threads.” I like unique pieces, a kind of demi-couture that have feminine silhouettes and fine detailing, being well tailored and created from luxurious fabrics. The fabrics seen here are navy silk satin, rust raw silk and olive silk charmeuse lining. The person I had in mind for this line was a mixture of personality, a type that is “prim & proper” but with an edge, or a kind of bad-girl-gone-good. I transferred these ideas into my design by creating a revealing open-back, flower details and an exciting color palette.
