My senior line, Death Defying Feats, focuses on materializing the hidden aspects of our relationships with other people. In particular, it analyzes the types of relationships that women have with other women, from sisters to strangers and lovers to enemies. By connecting these pairs of girls together through their clothing, I hope to show the nature and the history of their theoretical bonds to each other. The title of the line comes from the inherent dangers of these types of relationships, and the risks we take when we make a connection with another person. As the girls on stage come together or move apart, we are witnessing a dazzling spectacle, on par with the most thrilling circus.
