mOtiftil
mOtiftil was developed during the BDA workshop ‘Screen as Product.’ The challenge was to use a ‘screen’ to address one of three issues: privacy, sun protection, and/or separation of space. I chose to create a small-scaled, modular product for interior use. The consumer can use however many units to create a larger ‘screen motif’ for a window, as a space divider or simply 3D artwork. The inspiration for mOtiftil was textile, particularly how natural forms and chaotic fibers are harnessed together to create structured, beautiful patterns; seen here with the wood, fish line, and repetition of circles. Marketing material is included to demonstrate how mOtiftil would be presented to the consumer, including assembly instructions and product line options.
