Urban Fragment: PUBLICworks

Located along the banks of the Mighty Mississippi in Minneapolis, the goal of this project in context of the local and global community is to create an enjoyable and sustainable place for living and learning.  Expanding on the idea of a “fusion between the horizontal and vertical,” or creating a connection between the Mississippi River and the urban community, the question can be raised; how can people be brought to the river? Or maybe more appropriate, the question is how can the river be brought to the people?
