The North Woods Cabin

This cabin is located on the shores of Lake Vermillion in Northern Minnesota. There is a valley on the site, which is an important aspect of the design. One section of the cabin is anchored on land while the other section, “the dock”, cantilevers over the valley much like a dock hangs above water. The land flows under and around the cabin. Floor-to-ceiling windows give views up into the armpit of the valley and spectacular views down to the lake as well.
