Student Mothers + Daycare

Through researching what student single mothers and children desire for their everyday lives I designed a building that focuses on programming space through the translucency of the glass exterior wrapping. The first floor contains a day care, kid “wet zone”, communal kitchen, and an open floor plan that can act as both a social space and study space. The second floor contains the living spaces where mothers and their children live among other families. The third floor is where mothers can get away and have time to focus on school and themselves.
