Seward Co-op: LEED Gold Candidate

How green is gold? From the beginning, LEED certification had been on the mind of the owner of the Seward Co-op on Franklin and Riverside. For advertising purposes, the owner chose to seek certification status, even though that paper ended up being a costly objective. Our objective was much simpler: was the piece of paper worth it? This project seeks to understand the elements of green design that went into the building, starting from the source with original construction documents, interviews with all involved, and finally formulating our own understanding of this building and its green hue.
